Flower Buckets

I had picked up some clearance Christmas ribbons last year, and came across these beautiful gold and green and gold ribbons from Costco this year and was intent on making something with them. After watching too many YouTube videos I decided I could manage 2 designs:

Besides ribbon, you will need the following items to complete this craft:

  • Bucket or basket
  • Foam block or round
  • Floral ribbon – heavy gauge if you want to make an individual stem for each bloom
  • Floral tape
  • Double sided tape or hot glue for the rolled roses
  • Artificial flowers

I shopped for these items in person at Costco, Walmart and Michael’s – here are some Amazon options if that works better for you. This post contains affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you

I made all of the ribbon flowers first, eight for each bucket, and decided I wanted ‘real’ looking flowers to fill it out. I ended up attaching the ribbon flowers to the white roses using floral tape since the wire I had was too flimsy. I inserted the stems into the foam block and then I pulled the flowers around until they were spaced how I wanted and added glue dots where needed. To finish, I wrapped ribbon around each bucket and tied a bow.

This was a fun craft to try out and I received a lot of compliments!
