Introduction to Immunity Shots
In today’s fast-paced world, staying healthy is more important than ever. One simple way to boost your wellness is by incorporating immunity shots into your daily routine. These vibrant little shots pack a punch of nutrients, helping to support your immune system, and are incredibly easy to make at home. I make these once a week for our family.
The Power of Ginger and Turmeric
Two superstars in the world of wellness are ginger and turmeric. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, while turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful antioxidant. Together, they create a potent blend that not only tastes great but also enhances your body’s natural defenses. This immunity shot can help fight off colds and other ailments, making it a must-try for anyone focused on their health.

Making Your Immunity Shot
To prepare your ginger and turmeric immunity shot, gather the following ingredients:
- 1-large piece of fresh ginger, scrub the skin
- 1-piece of fresh turmeric (or 2 tsp powdered)
- 2 lemons
- 1 orange, or 3 mandarins
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups – Water

First, scrub and chop the ginger and turmeric. Blend them with the 2 cups of water until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, squeezing out as much liquid as you can. Rinse your blender and discard the pulp (or save it with all of your scraps for a simmer pot). Next, add the ginger liquid back to the blender, peel the lemons and oranges and add to the blender. Process until smooth, and strain the mixture. Pour the strained mixture back into the blender and add the honey, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and powdered turmeric (if not using fresh). Pour into your container of choice – I like the cute little bottles! This recipe makes a batch of immunity shots that are best consumed fresh within 1 week, shake well before drinking as the mixture will settle.
Incorporate these shots into your routine a few times a week, and give your body a great vitamin boost!
